SEO checklist for a website made with AI

Your agent made a site that looks right. Whether Google and Bing will show it to people is a separate question. Here is a checklist to go through with the agent — most items take one sentence to ask for.

On every page

  1. A unique title. The <title> tag becomes the blue link in search results. Around 50–60 characters: what the page is about, and where if it matters — "Piano lessons in Valencia — Anna García".
  2. A description. The meta description is the text under the link. It does not raise your position by itself, but it is your pitch in the results.
  3. One main heading. A single h1 that says what the page is about, and h2 headings for the sections.
  4. Real text, not text in pictures. Search engines read text. A price list saved as an image is invisible to them — and to AI assistants that answer questions about businesses.
  5. Alt text on images. A short description of each picture.
  6. The page language. <html lang="en">, or whatever language the page is in.
  7. Works on phones. Google looks at the mobile version of a page first.
  8. Fast. Mostly a matter of image sizes: see how to prepare images.

You can ask for all of it at once:

Check the site for SEO: unique title and meta description on every page, one h1, alt texts on all images, the lang attribute, a viewport tag for phones. Fix what is missing.

What aiput.site does for you

Sites are served over HTTPS. When you publish, the home page gets a canonical tag with your site's address, so search engines know which address is the main one.

After publishing

  1. Tell Google about the site. Add it to Google Search Console with the "URL prefix" option and your site's address. To prove the site is yours, Search Console gives you a small HTML file or a meta tag. Hand it to the agent, update the site and press Verify. Then request indexing of the home page.
  2. And Bing. Bing Webmaster Tools can import your site from Search Console. Bing's index also feeds the web search of several AI assistants.
  3. Get a few links. Your social profiles, your Google Business Profile, directories in your field. A new site that nothing links to is found slowly.
  4. Be patient. For a new site, days to weeks.

What not to do

  • Do not stuff the text with keywords or hide text from visitors.
  • Do not copy text from other sites.
  • Do not publish reviews that nobody wrote.

AI-written text is fine for search engines as long as it is helpful and true. Read it, correct it, and add what only you know: your prices, your experience, your area. That is what makes a page worth showing.
