Connect Claude Code, Codex or Cursor to aiput.site

aiput.site works with any AI agent that can connect to a remote MCP server over HTTP. Claude Code, Codex and Cursor all can. You do not need to know how MCP works: your dashboard gives you a ready message, and the agent does the setup.

The message from your dashboard

After you sign in and choose a plan, the dashboard shows a block of text with a Copy button. Paste it into the chat with your agent as it is. It tells the agent four things:

  • the server name: aiput;
  • the transport: HTTP (Streamable HTTP);
  • the address: https://aiput.site/mcp;
  • the header with your key: Authorization: Bearer SITEAI_….

The agent adds the server in whatever way its environment expects, then calls list_sites to check the connection.

Claude Code

For Claude Code the message includes a single command, with your key already filled in:

claude mcp add --transport http aiput https://aiput.site/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"

Codex, Cursor and other agents

These keep their MCP servers in a settings file. The agent reads the message, finds the right file and adds the server itself. If you prefer to do it by hand, you need the same three things: the address, the transport and the Authorization header.

If the agent says the tools are not available

Most agents read the list of MCP servers when a session starts. A server added in the middle of a conversation often only shows up in the next one. If the agent cannot find list_sites right after setup, restart it and ask again. This is expected and happens only once.

Sites with images and fonts

Through MCP the agent sends file contents as text, token by token. That is fine for HTML and CSS, but images and fonts become huge after encoding. For those, the agent uploads the whole folder as a ZIP archive instead, with one command:

cd site && zip -qr - . | curl --data-binary @- -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY" https://aiput.site/sites/SITE_ID/deploy

The agent finds this command in the tool descriptions, so you do not need to remember it. The limits and the result are the same as through MCP.

Keep your key private

The key lets anyone publish, update or delete your sites. Do not post it in public chats or commit it to a public repository. If it leaks, press Reset the code in your dashboard: the old key stops working immediately, and your sites stay where they are. Give the new message to your agent, and it reconnects.
