How to publish a website made with Claude
Claude builds websites in two places. In the chat at claude.ai the page appears as an artifact next to the conversation. In Claude Code it is written as real files into a folder on your computer. Either way, the last step is the same: getting it online. Here is how to do it with aiput.site.
Claude Code does the publishing
Publishing takes an agent that can work with your files and connect to outside services. Claude Code does both. It runs in the terminal, in the Claude desktop app and in code editors such as VS Code and JetBrains, and it connects to aiput.site over MCP.
The chat at claude.ai can share an artifact by link, but that link opens a page on Claude's own site. For a website of your own that you can update and roll back, hand the files to Claude Code.
If the site is an artifact in the chat
- Download the artifact or copy its code.
- Create a folder, for example
my-site, and save the page there asindex.html. If there are several files, keep their names and put them next to it. - Open Claude Code in that folder.
Or skip the chat altogether: open Claude Code in an empty folder, describe the site you want, and it builds it there.
Connect Claude Code to aiput.site
Sign in at aiput.site and choose a plan. The dashboard shows a message with a Copy button. For Claude Code it contains a ready command with your key already filled in:
claude mcp add --transport http aiput https://aiput.site/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"
You do not have to run it yourself. Paste the whole message into the chat with Claude Code: it runs the command, checks the connection and asks you to restart. Start a new session in the same folder, and the aiput tools are there.
Publish
Publish this website.
Claude Code creates the site, uploads the files and replies with the address.
Update and roll back
Ask for changes in plain words, then say "update the website". Every publication is saved as a version, and up to the 10 most recent are kept. If the new version is worse, ask Claude Code to roll back: the previous one is live again in a few seconds.
Useful requests
- "List my sites and their addresses."
- "Show me the versions of this site with dates."
- "Rename the site to Bakery landing." The address stays the same.
- "Roll back to the version from this morning."
